How To Install & Use Ovi Store

Ovi Store Gives you a HUGE Collection of Nokia N97 Application that can be sndt t your Phone Directly But you Need to make an account in the Ovi store HERE

1- HOW TO Install the Ovi Store (v1.5)

The Ovi Store mobile website can be reached by going to http://store.ovi.com/ on your phone's web browser.

Here's what the app download link looks like on the Ovi Store mobile website (you may also see similar links elsewhere on the site, for example near the bottom of the front page of the Ovi Store site). You'll have to sign in with your Ovi account before it will let you download and install the app.

Once it's installed, the Ovi Store application can be accessed by clicking on the Ovi Store icon, which is probably in the phone's "Applications" folder:

Clicking on the phone's Ovi Store icon starts up the Ovi Store application which makes it much easier to browse, download and install applications:

Not Useful.  Deceiving.  VERY Deceiving.

All of the catalog and graphics are stored on your C Drive and they do not get cleared by the store software.  This means you have these graphics and catalog of items that you are not using and they are using storage space on your phones C Drive.

The only way to get rid of them is a hard reset.

Or know exactly where they are and deleting them.

Again Nokia using the C Drive to store files that could easily have been stored on the Larger 32 GB E Drive on the N97.  AKA Mass Storage.

If the company is going to have mass storage then they should darn well use this storage for files like this.  Especially Hard Mounted storage like this.

This storage is NOT reformatted during a Hard Reset either.

DO NOT USE IT.  If you do Use it at your peril.

Especially if you look through a large majority of the catalog.

Hi,

I got my N97 today and I've spent the last few hours getting stressed out because I can't access the Ovi store.

The first few times I tried to get in I got a message which said something along the lines of "Certification not authorized", then I connected my phone to my laptop so that I could install some updates as they weren't working either.

Now I have updated it all right but when I try to open the Ovi store nothing at all happens. Also, I tried sending an app from my laptop to my mobile but when I clicked download it took to me to the log on screen even though I was already logged in, and this process just kept repeating itself.

Is there anything I'm forgetting to do or am I just being a bit of an idiot?

Thanks in advance

well i think bruc willic is right about what he said and true make a hard reset you get rid all of this junk i personaly after the crash and the problems i did a hard reset many times and when i install the stuff again i turn my fone off and on again and kept freezing so it means if you do a hard reset the hell  with the songs or videos you had before remember this i faced it my self having problems after the hard reset just do the hard reset and format drive E:\ everything will be formatted you gonna get 58.9 mb on drive c:\ and 29.8 gb on drive E:\ this is the best way to avoid problems after hard reset cuz some applications wont be deleted and some data files will ocure big problems after installing the same application i hope this info is helpful any questions feel free to ask .

              Peace !
