is it true u can use the n97 like a modem to connect to the internet with one access?

how does that work?

Connect phone with PC or Ovi Suite (USB or Bluetooth) & select Connect to the Internet. You will be asked what phone network you are on & it will connect to it. Your PC will then have Internet connectivity through your phone.

You can do it the other way if your PC has Internet connectivity via Ethernet/LAN cable. Create adhoc WiFi connection on PC & let your phone connect to it. Then bridge LAN & WiFi adaptors on PC. Internet connectivity will be extended to your phone.

Many ways to connect and all will use the mobile phones 3G/data connection:
   1.  Via wireless (802.11) using JoikuSpot application - turns you phone into a Wireless Access Point
   2.  Tethering via USB - turns you phone into a modem (Works under Linux out of the box (NetworkManager applet) and in Windows via OVI/PC Suite)
   3.  Tethering via Bluetooth - (Works under Linux and in Windows via OVI/PC Suite)
