HI all

Can I ask what software people are using successfully to convert video files into mp4 format for the N97?

I have tried Nero, as well as various freeware and shareware packages, but nothing seesm to do the job.
Nero created a file which the phone couldn't see! (having transferred it over using Windows Explorer).
Other packages create files which seem to be damaged, so only audio will play. Strangely all these files I have converted play fine on my PC, so the N97 needs a specidic type of MP4 created with very particular settings?

Any help much appreciated

Andrew

I use a program called OJOsoft Total Video Coverter with the settings from this page
http://www.n97fanatics.com/nokia-n97-makes-it-a-movie-night/  and it works a treat.
Once converted transfer them by USB into your N97 by Mass Storage transfer and drop into your Video folder. They work well using the phones own media player.
Good luck.

There are also several others, but Super is freeware and works fine.

Copyless, I have Super as well and find it great. But on the site I cannot find the download tab for the lastest version, or has it changed it's name to AVS which is now almost identical to OJOsoft?

Found it! Not very clear on the site though. Use this link and the download option is right at the bottom of the page:

Good program as well.

Yea, something about the way the video was converted. That's the problem this thread addresses. Finding the best format to work with the N97.

Wright8 see my post no6 above, it has a link to the proper download page. It is not clear on the site at all. For a cracking program it is a poor website!

Jason the link you show, is the exact same link that I posted.

Wright, as jason pointed out it is a little difficult, but if you scroll all the way down you will see Start Downloading SUPER.

Hope this helps.
