Because Lord Dextro cares for all of you, here are some files to steer you in the right direction. Still trying to find the right format though.

...download all three files, and follow directions before installing anything.

Of course Lord Dextro tests everything before he posts it, and this is no exception. So from Lord Dextro to you, hope this helps.

Super is free though, and that is a paid program, and I wouldn't pay for a program that I could get for free, but  if it is a paid program that you are looking for, Lord Dextro's suggestion is a good one, may I also add to the paid list, THIS ONE, which I have had several years experience with and know that the author works hard and constantly on keeping these programs up to date for the latest videos. If people do decide to purchase this program I would suggest that you choose the Lifetime license and not the default 2yr one, as updates to some of these programs are frequent.

Why NOt start a thread to list converted movies and find a site to store them. Then post the links so that everyone can download if they want and watch it on their N97 Grin

If everyone did this we would have a great library of movies.

nok97, did you try the link I posted in the 5th post of this thread? I have just tried it again and it works with no problems.

Click on the word SUPER in the post I mentioned, then scroll to the bottom and you will see Start Downloading SUPER, click on it, on that page you will see right below the box, "download and use" this will take you to some good reading for the program, scroll  to the bottom and you will see Download Super setup file, then the DL will start. I do not link straight to the DL because all of these pages show information that is handy and sometimes needed. Try these steps.

I use Any Video Converter. It is completely free and without any limitations.

Video Options:
Video Codec: xvid/mpeg-4 (both will work fine)
Video Size: 640x360
Video Bitrate: 1024 (this is about 8,2 MB per min and a full length movie is 700-800 MB. Use a lower bitrate if you want a smaller filesize but I personally recommend 1024)
Video Framerate: Auto

Audio Options:
Audio Codec: aac
Audio bitrate: 96
Sample Rate: 44100
Audio Channel: 2

It will work with any format and codec that your computer will play and the quality on the device is simply amazing. Good luck

Juki, They are basically the same format, with 3GP being pushed a little more for mobile devices, it mainly uses different audio codecs and usually a lower bit rate for easier playback.

MP4's compression rate is more powerful which uses mpeg4 compression. Normally 3GP uses H263/H264 video compression.

3gp files can(should only) store Mpeg4 SP,H263 video and aac or amr audio. The newer AVC/H264 and HE-aac might be better to handle additional codecs.
3GP files have no IOD or BIFS/OD track.

MP4 files can store Mpeg1/2 video, Mpeg4 ASP, AVC/H264 and (HE)aac and mpeg 1 Layer II/III.

So in the long run I would play around with both and see which you prefer. I hope this helps you more than confuses, I try not to get in depth on video, since inside the compartments there lays a very steep learning curve, which I have spent years on, so to explain every detail is not possible. I also have not as of yet even put a video on my phones, (the psp yes but not my phones) so I haven't tried either on the phone, another reason I don't answer many of the problems of the video nature.
