use raven battery extender its the best app ever made for s60v3 and s6v5 and this is normal what you are facing ,after updating from v12 to v20 we noticed some power issues , and from v20 to v21 it was the big hit to the device , they overclocked the device a lil bit which it didnt make any improvments accept they improved the battery to hold much less than before , stupid engineering team ,and now the big question is when the v30 is out ,i think the battery wont hold more than 5 hours .

I realised that its not that much shorter, and also I think it a little sooner drops from 100% to less and after that it lasts as before. And also, first two days after update it lasts much shorter but today its ok. It might have been other reasons for draining battery. I hope in the future it will be like today..

After I update to V22 it seems that the battery it drain much quickly and another problem is that sometimes if i close the phone and then start again sometimes it's starts,appear nokia logo and then it close ,I push again the power button and then it starts (sometimes I must try 2-3 times until it starts)
I got to say that before it doesn't happened and before update to V22 I hard reset my phone including my mass memory and memory card sow the phone was like new.
Anyone encountered these bugs?

After I updated to v22 ovi store wanted to update. But during installation I get an "update error". So now ovi store doesn't work any more. And I need it to reinstall some apps.

I'm having trouble with the software update (when using it from the phone) - problem is that it updates the list only maybe 1 time out of 30. The problem has increased over time - in the beginning it almost always updated the list, when I used my wlan; now it doesn't make any difference wether I have it set to wlan or On all the time... Anyone experienced this?

contacts sometimes don't show when they calling (only numbers) even i have saved them properly.
other than that, i'm happy to use N97.
just a suggestion from a loyal customer, nokia should see other custom firmware for N97, that makes this phone more fast on multitasking, browsing, and ofcourse multimedia things, and maybe apply them at v30 to make the N97 really a "smart phone".

been experiencing random restarts, phone hangs and have to remove battery even with close to 30mb of free ram available. also when it restarts phone log, contacts and messages opens automatically.

Hi! New phone started with v22, added SPB shell, added Opera 10. I notice my phone often sticks in portrait mode, or is slow to rotate. Phone will hang or has shut off trying to resolve internet access. Settings interface is just nasty! Weather update not as set.(Phone is free to me, though, so I'll learn to cope.) Has anyone here successfuly integrated Pimp Juice with v22? I have to admit I'm counting on it to save my mind! Which version did you use, hacked or unhacked phone? Any direction appreciated! Thanks!

Hello,
The issue I realized after the upgrade that sometimes the calls come without any notifications only a small icon in the right top corner of the screen without any tones , and also no available way to answer the call, and to fix this issue I have to restart the phone.

My Nokia generally shows the Camera screen in btween a call and have to exit the Camera appplication. Yes it is generally short of Battery life and battery drops drastically once it is below 100%. Also it automatically becomes unlocked and remains so many times draining the battery.

When I call someone who is on another call it does not show "Waiting" like all the other Nokia phones. I normally get a beep and a message says "waiting" which means that the person that I am calling is engaged in another call and has call waiting activated. I tried the same SIM card on many other Nokia phone's it always shows this message. what is weird is that I get the message once every 20 times I try. To confirm as I was asked this before "of course I am sure that the other person I am calling has another call as I try this while he is setting beside me" .

i updated to the v22 yesterday and i gotta say iit was a bit better and i had 58 mb of ram at startup while on v21 i only got 52 mb but still no other major changes and as usual the cons are way more than the pros ،i gotta say those guys at nokia really dont know what they are dong and proven once again that they keep getting worse and worse ،anyway maybe v30 will give the n97 a ray oh hope although im not counting mmuch on it .

I got too much frustrated to use N97 with the latest firmware (V22). Most of the time my phone get hang. I'm getting irritated. Better nokia should adopt other OS such as android etc... I want to use the previous version. Can any one advise me how to do it?

I also noticed that I cannot log on to yahoo using in built browser or opera. most programs from OVI fails to install.

Did you do the reset before and after upgrading your FW? It is recomended because without that its possible to have issues like you are describing..
